From the classroom to the world stage
Chris Bush spent a decade teaching in Victorian government schools, where he saw first-hand how stretched resources and growing class sizes left too many students behind. Determined to find a better way, he and his students co-built an AI tutor called Mitch, and the results were remarkable.
Test scores rose across the board, with the biggest gains among low-socioeconomic and English as an Additional Language students. That success led to a Churchill Fellowship, taking Chris to four countries to investigate how AI can revolutionise education and close the equity gap.
